Section 106

Section 106 is a legal agreement between an property developer and the local planning authority. It is used to mitigate the impact of any new property development to the local community and infrastructure.

The Section 106 agreement contains one or more developer contributions which support the generation of affordable housing, or contribute towards local infrastructure such as green spaces, schools or highway maintenance.
