Application types
Application types set the foundation for getting planning application data into the system in a consistent structure.
Each application type has its own definition, so authorities and applicants know exactly what to provide and how to format it.
This keeps data aligned from the start and makes it easier to use, share, and compare.
Application types
You will soon be able to explore each application type. For now this is the list of application types we have looked at in the initial phase.

The controlled list is explained in design decision 0012.

The specifications will continue to evolve as we test them with planning authorities, suppliers and policy teams. We will add more application types to the standard as we work through more parts of the planning permission process.
