About the national public view
The national public view is the open publication view of the wider planning application data standard.
It is an explicit extraction of the data described by the standard. Nothing is included unless the national public view schema selects it.
How it works
The schema selects the datasets and fields to publish. Where a dataset has a record-inclusion rule, publish only records that meet that rule.
The view defines public output. It does not prescribe a planning authority’s or supplier’s back-office architecture, local storage design or redaction process.
